Hello from sunny Iraq!!!!
My name is SGT Joe Caron and over the past couple of days, I have
received a package from all of you. I truly appreciate all of the help and
goodies that I have been receiving. It amazes me each time I get a
package from a complete stranger and it makes me feel good that there
are people out there who give their time and hard earned money to
support our soldiers over here and in Afghanistan. Some people may not
agree with the war but they all support the troops, which is truly wonderful.
Just so you know who you sent a package to. I am 36 years old. I have
been in the Army for almost 16 years. My wife of 12 years, Tina, is waiting
for me back at Fort Drum, NY. We have about 4 1/2 months left before we
redeploy back to the states. We don't have any kids but we have an
awesome kitty cat named Mr. Snuggles (My wife named him...LOL). And I
enjoy watching sports of all sorts, golfing, bowling, I Love Pro Wrestling!!!
(yes, I know it is fake but it's a male soap opera! My wife has Desperate
Housewives, I have WWE) And I have enjoyed my time in the Army and I
don't mind the deployments too much. That's it for now. Thank you once
again for your kindness!
Take Care!!!!
Sincerely, SGT Joe Caron

Thank you for the Easter Greetings and thank you for the package. I
hope that you had a great Easter.

I would just like to say thank you for the care packages over the past
year. It has been so nice to receive them. As someone who was attached
to a unit from outside the State of Wisconsin it has been nice to know
that people from back at home still care about us. I would also like to
thank Jeff and Candy, you have been great friends to me and I thank
God everyday I have friends like you in my life! See you soon!

My son, Joe Reeder, is stationed on the USS John C. Stennis, an aircraft
carrier currently deployed in the Persian Gulf. He received a package
from you recently and I just wanted to share a couple of his comments:
I got another set of boxes from "wisconsin we care." It had a small
Klemert's summer sausage in it and it was so good! The one i got was
about as long as a finger and it was the perfect size. I had a good snack
and didn't have to find somewhere to store what couldn't be eaten.
Thanks for what you are doing to help our troops be reminded of our
support for them!
Deb Reeder
To All at Wisconsin We Care!
Thank you for the work you are doing to support us out here in Iraq
There are many Soldiers here in Iraq with the 3d Armored Cavalry
Regiment
out of FT Hood who really appreciate things that remind us of home.
Cheese and sausage are always a hit! Packer and Badger paraphernalia
are
always welcomed as well.
A group of us "cheeseheads" are getting up and getting together in the
wee hours of the morning to watch the game against the Giants. No
beer, but the food will do! Nothing will stop us from watching the
Packers!
BTW, I am spreading the news about your organization to those who
really liked what you sent to me and were exited to hear about you.
Thanks
again.

Good Morning,
I just wanted to say thank you for the care packages I received from you. It
is always a humbling experience to receive items from people you dont
know. There was no way I could use everything in those packages, so I
made shure to share with my fellow Marines and everything was eaten
allready or put to good use. Lots of people may drive around with the
yellow ribbons to try and look the part, but it is people like you who activly
support us that are the real patriots back home. Thank you again and
keep up the good work

HI! it's funny that i recieved an e-mail from my mom about you guys
because i just got three boxes from you today!!! i'm sure it was because
they all had to be forwarded as we just moved from the fallujah area to
baghdad about two months ago and we had to move on such short notice
that it took our mail quite some time to catch up to us but i just wanted to
write you a quick e-mail thanking you all for everything that you have done
for us! i can't tell you how much more bearable 72 hour observation posts
and 4 hour patrols at 0300 are when you have some snacks and books
and magazines. there would have been alot of extremely hungry nights as
well if it weren't for your packages that we enjoyed when i was in Crazy
troop and now that i'm in Headhunter troop that continues! also all the
personal hygiene items that you sent were awesome! i actually spent
some time training iraqi police from about october to december and they
also got to enjoy some of the soap and shampoo and toothbrushes which
is extremely hard for them to come by. all in all i just would really really like
to say thank you for everything. i cannot truly express in a simple e-mail
how much you all really helped us out over here and how much more
miserable all of this would have been if not for the packages and letters
from school children and christmas and valentines day cards! i will most
definitely be there to see you all in about a month if all goes according to
plan! SCOUTS OUT!
